MRP — Planning, Resource Projects and Manufacturing
What to buy, how much to make and when to deliver: materials, projects and plant capacity in a single plan.
Built on the Passos SaaS platform
MRP turns orders and forecasts into a plan the plant and the projects can actually meet. It connects product engineering, inventory, purchasing and the shop floor — and comes from the same SaaS platform as Passos' CRM and ERP projects, with our experience in engineering and industry.
A Passos SaaS product · every rollout starts with a review of your production
What MRP does
Six modules from design to delivery
From the bill of materials to the delivered batch, planning and execution use the same data.
Product engineering
Product structure (bill of materials), manufacturing routings, revisions and drawings linked to each item.
Requirements planning
From orders, forecasts and stock, the system suggests what to buy and what to make — and when.
Capacity planning
Machine and crew load by period, bottlenecks in plain sight and simulation before accepting a deadline.
Production orders
Issuing, sequencing and tracking orders, with reporting of hours, losses and scrap.
Projects and resources
Schedule, stages, team and materials of each project or site, with planned and actual cost.
Quality and traceability
Inspections, non-conformities and the path of each batch, from raw material to customer.
What changes day to day
Problems MRP solves
The most common mismatches between sales, purchasing and production — and how the product solves them.
Shortage and surplus at the same time
Buying by gut feeling stops the line for one item and fills the stock with another. Requirements planning buys the right thing at the right time.
Deadlines promised without looking at the plant
Orders accepted without knowing whether there is capacity. MRP shows the load before sales confirms the date.
Unknown real cost
Without shop-floor reporting, the cost of each product or project becomes a guess. MRP compares planned and actual by order and by project.
Works with what you already use
Integrations
MRP receives the demand, returns the plan and follows execution — connected to the systems around it.
| System | What comes into MRP | What goes out of MRP |
|---|---|---|
| Passos ERP | Sales orders, stock and records | Purchase requirements, orders and costs |
| Passos SCM | Supplier lead times and receipts | Suggested purchase orders |
| Engineering projects (CAD) | Bills of materials and drawing revisions | Manufacturing status of each item |
| Shop floor (terminals, sensors and IoT) | Production reports and stoppages | Orders sequenced by machine |
| Passos FRM | Project budgets | Production and project costs |
The same foundation as our projects
Passos SaaS Platform
FRM, HRM, MRP and SCM were built on the SaaS platform Passos uses for its own projects — the same one behind our CRM and ERP. That is why they work with each other and with the tools you already use.
Multi-company, in the cloud
Each company's data kept separate, accessed from the browser or a phone, with no server to maintain.
Security and privacy
Encryption, role-based access, audit trail and personal data handled in line with Brazil's LGPD.
Dashboards and AI
Dashboards with today's numbers and artificial intelligence where it truly helps — forecasts, alerts and suggestions, always reviewed by people.
Open APIs
Documented integration with banks, government, suppliers and other systems, with no re-typing.
Modules that add up
Start with one product and add the others when it makes sense: the records and data are already there.
Continuity
Backups, monitoring and a recovery plan so the system is up when the business needs it.
Each product can be licensed on its own or together with the others. Setup respects your company's size, tax regime and way of working.
How we implement
Four stages, with Passos people from start to finish
Implementing is more than installing: it means understanding the routine, configuring, training and staying close until the system is part of everyday work.
- 01
Discovery
We map the processes, current systems and priorities, and agree on scope and stages together.
- 02
Setup and migration
We fit the product to your reality and bring over the records and history that matter.
- 03
Training and pilot
We train the people who will use it and run a pilot with real cases before switching over.
- 04
Assisted operation
After go-live, we stay alongside the team, adjusting and following up on usage.
Before you start
Common questions
Is MRP the same as ERP?
No. ERP manages the company as a whole; MRP goes deeper into planning materials, capacity and production. The two integrate and can be rolled out together or in stages.
Does it work for project or site-based work, not just mass production?
Yes. Besides series production, MRP plans projects and sites with their own stages, crews and materials, as in engineer-to-order work.
Do I need sensors in the plant?
No. Reporting can be done on a tablet or phone. Sensors and terminals come in when the operation calls for more precision.
How long until we start using it?
It depends on the size of the operation and the quality of the records. The initial review defines the stages, and each stage delivers a part of the system already in use.
